What we wear is never only ours.
Every garment carries the conditions that made it possible.
Every Tigernest piece is a point of convergence: the last knot of a dense web of stories, hands, thoughts and materials woven together to give it life. Every element is interdependent.
[01] Nothing exists on its own. [02] Make each piece once, and give it a name and a number. [03] Let colour come from plants and flowers, and let every dip be different. [04] Work slowly, with people we know by name. [05] Keep, do not own: every piece has a custodian, and passes on. [06] Carry a guardian with you: something precious that keeps you safe. [07] Return to the nest: a shelter within.
The nest is woven from many points, each one a condition: people, plants, places, materials and meanings.
Chapter one is made of Tigernest’s first four phygital works. Each will be kept by a custodian, the person chosen to keep this story through time.
This is only the beginning of the journey.
